At the beginning of your end step, if you don't control a Food, create a Food token. (It's an artifact with "{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this token: You gain 3 life.")
Food is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some creatures, it's never a creature type.
Whatever you do, don't eat the delicious cards.
You can't sacrifice a Food to pay multiple costs. For example, you can't sacrifice a Food token to activate its own ability and also to activate Maraleaf Rider's ability.
Butterbur, Bree Innkeeper's ability checks if you control a Food at the beginning of your end step. If you do, the ability won't trigger.
If the ability does trigger, but you control a Food when it tries to resolve, the ability will do nothing. No Food will be created.
